Roman Arena

The Roman Arena in Verona, Italy was built in AD 30. It is the third largest arena of its kind.

A ring rounds the entire structure under the seats.

30,000 spectators could view gladiator fights in the arena. Today seating is reduced to 15,000 and spectators enjoy operas and other musical performances.
